ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Government (KRG) Spokesperson Peshawa Hawramani announced on Saturday during a press conference that several ministers have been appointed to convey the KRG's demands to the Iraqi government.

The spokesperson explained that in today’s meeting, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Natural Resources, along with all other KRG ministers, highlighted various details and issues regarding the Kurdistan Region's rights and financial entitlements.

“They also discussed the obligations of the Kurdistan Region to the Iraqi government, addressing how many of our obligations have been fulfilled and how many remain unfulfilled,” he stated.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister and his deputy asked the ministers and the head of the Kurdish faction in Baghdad to identify the details collaboratively. “If there are any criticisms or shortcomings within the KRG, they should present their projects and proposals in this regard,” Hawramani added.

Earlier today, the spokesperson told Kurdistan24 that the treatment that Kurdistan Region's civil servants tolerated during 2024 "will no longer be acceptable," suggesting a likely pivotal change in Erbil-Baghdad relations.
