ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – In a diplomatic engagement that emphasizes the changing dynamics of federal-regional relations, Kurdistan Region President (KRP) Nechirvan Barzani met with Chief Justice of the Federal Supreme Court Judge Jassim Mohammed Abboud in Baghdad on Monday.

According to an official statement from the Kurdistan Region Presidency, the meeting focused on the Federal Court's pivotal role in resolving outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad.

The meeting particularly focused on constitutional adherence as the fundamental framework for ensuring justice and protecting the rights of Iraq's diverse components.

KRP Nechirvan Barzani expressed appreciation for the Federal Supreme Court's crucial role in facilitating the successful conduct of Kurdistan Parliament elections and contributing to the resolution of Erbil-Baghdad disputes.
