Supporting the Yazidi Community and Preserving Kurdish Heritage

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has consistently championed efforts to support the Yazidi community, promote religious coexistence, and preserve Kurdish cultural and historical heritage. Under his leadership, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has implemented initiatives to assist displaced Yazidis, rebuild their communities, and advocate for international recognition of the genocide they endured at the hands of ISIS in 2014.

Additionally, Prime Minister Barzani has played a key role in fostering academic research and cultural preservation, ensuring that the rich history and traditions of the Yazidis and the broader Kurdish nation are documented and protected for future generations.

The upcoming conference is a testament to his commitment to cultural inclusivity and scholarly engagement, reinforcing the Kurdistan Region's role as a center for intellectual and historical discourse.
