İmrali Delegation to Engage in Political Talks Following Ocalan’s Call
DEM Party, will embark on a series of meetings with political parties, starting with the Republican People’s Party (CHP).

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The İmrali delegation from the pro-Kurdish DEM Party is set to initiate political discussions following the call made by Abdullah Ocalan, the imprisoned leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), for the group to lay down arms and dissolve itself.
DEM Party to Begin Political Engagements
The delegation, led by DEM Party co-chairs Tulay Hatımoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, will embark on a series of meetings with political parties, starting with the Republican People’s Party (CHP) on March 10. This marks a significant step in the evolving political landscape following Ocalan’s message.
Ocalan’s Historic Appeal
On February 27, Ocalan, through the İmrali delegation, issued a message urging the PKK to disarm and dissolve.

In response, the PKK's executive committee announced on March 1 that it would observe a ceasefire and acknowledged the importance of implementing Ocalan’s call successfully.

The committee further stated that Ocalan himself should oversee the congress for the group's dissolution, underlining the necessity of political and legal guarantees to ensure a viable peace process.
