Nuxsha Nasih appointed acting governor of Halabja province

The directive takes effect immediately upon the issuance of the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister’s order.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has announced a leadership transition in Halabja province, marking a new chapter for the region. 

In an official letter issued by the KRG Council of Ministers, the retirement of the governor and deputy governors was confirmed. To ensure a smooth transition, Nuxsha Nasih, the current governor of Halabja Central District, has been appointed acting governor of Halabja Province while continuing her existing duties. 

The directive takes effect immediately upon the issuance of the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister’s order. 

Expressing her commitment to the people of Halabja, Nasih stated, "I promise to be at the service of the citizens and, in accordance with the guidelines and work program of the KRG, will continue to serve." 

This leadership change reflects the government's ongoing dedication to effective governance and progress in the province.
