ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The curtain will fall on Round 28 of the 2024–2025 Iraqi Stars League on Saturday with a single clash as Duhok SC welcome Al-Hudood FC to the Duhok International Stadium at 6 p.m.

Duhok SC, still basking in the glory of their historic Gulf Club Championship victory over Kuwait’s Al-Qadisiyah, will return to league action with high morale and a firm focus on ascending the standings.

Duhok currently sit in eighth place with 40 points, despite having played fewer games than most teams. With seven fixtures still in hand, the club sees Saturday’s encounter as a key opportunity to build momentum in the final stretch of the season.

Their opponents, Al-Hudood, are languishing at the foot of the table in 20th place with just 13 points, making their battle for survival increasingly arduous.

History favors Duhok

The reverse fixture between the two sides, played earlier in the season, ended in a commanding 4–1 victory for Duhok, a result that the hosts will hope to replicate as they push for a strong finish to the campaign.
