ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson in Washington on Tuesday to discuss the continued partnership between the Kurdistan Region and the United States, according to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across various sectors.
Prime Minister Barzani expressed his appreciation for the United States' steadfast support, singling out Congressman Wilson for his enduring advocacy for the Kurdish people.
Congressman Wilson reaffirmed his commitment to a strong and prosperous Kurdistan, congratulating the KRG on the recent signing of two energy agreements in Washington a day earlier. He hailed the deals as a positive step toward greater economic development and energy cooperation.
