Describing the targeted individuals as “three ruthless mass murderers with international blood on their hands,” the IDF said their removal has made the “world a better place.”
The announcement marks one of the most significant escalations in the long-running shadow war between Israel and Iran. The scale and coordination of the operation, involving over 200 Israeli fighter jets, signal a dramatic shift in Israeli military posture, potentially altering the strategic landscape of the Middle East.
Iran has yet to release an official statement confirming the deaths or responding to the Israeli claim.
The strikes come amid heightened tensions over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and increased threats against Israel by Iranian-aligned groups in the region. International observers warn that this operation could provoke serious retaliatory action from Tehran, further escalating regional instability.
