ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iran’s state television announced late Saturday that a new wave of ballistic missiles had been launched toward Israel, marking the second such attack within a span of four hours.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the strikes, stating that the missiles were specifically aimed at “strategic nuclear facilities” in and around Tel Aviv. The IRGC added that a “critical announcement” would be issued soon regarding the broader scope of the operation.
According to Iranian sources, approximately 150 ballistic and cruise missiles were launched during this latest assault. The attack comes amid rapidly escalating hostilities between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
Israeli media outlets have reported that air raid sirens were activated across the country and authorities have urged residents to seek shelter immediately.
Footage emerging from Tel Aviv appears to show several of the incoming missiles being intercepted by Israel’s air defense system, believed to be the advanced Iron Dome and David’s Sling systems. However, some missiles are reported to have penetrated defenses and struck areas within the city.
