Houthi Rebels Fire Ballistic Missiles at Central Israel in Coordination with Iran, Says Spokesperson Yahya Saree
“Our operation was synchronized with the operations carried out by the Iranian army against the Israeli enemy.” Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed the missiles targeted “sensitive sites” in Jaffa, without providing further details.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Sunday announced they had launched several ballistic missiles targeting the Israeli city of Jaffa over the past 24 hours, following Israeli airstrikes on the Yemeni capital Sanaa the previous evening, according to Al-Arabiya
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that the group’s operation was coordinated with Iran, emphasizing: “Our operation was synchronized with the operations carried out by the Iranian army against the Israeli enemy.” He claimed the missiles targeted “sensitive sites” in Jaffa, without providing further details.
The announcement comes in the wake of Israeli air raids on Sanaa on Saturday night, which, according to Israeli sources cited by Al-Arabiya, were intended to assassinate a senior Houthi commander. An Israeli official confirmed that the operation specifically targeted Mohammad al-Ghamari, the Chief of Staff of the Houthi forces, but the outcome remains undisclosed.
Other Israeli sources reported that the airstrikes struck a command coordination center used jointly by the Houthis and Iran. Several high-ranking Houthi leaders, including al-Ghamari, were believed to be present at the site, Israeli media added.
Since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October, the Iran-aligned Houthis have carried out more than 100 attacks on ships in the Red Sea and have launched drones and missiles toward Israel, actions they claim are in solidarity with Hamas and the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Israel, however, maintains that the majority of these attacks have been successfully intercepted.
