ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iran is preparing to launch what could be the largest missile attack in Israeli history, the Fars news agency reported on Monday, as regional tensions continue to escalate.

According to the report, the anticipated strike is expected to mark the most intense missile barrage Israel has ever faced. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also announced that a “surprise” operation is imminent, without providing further details.

This development follows a series of Israeli airstrikes conducted on June 13, during which more than 200 warplanes targeted military and nuclear sites across Tehran and other Iranian cities. Iranian media sources said the attacks killed several high-ranking military commanders and atomic scientists, with Israel allegedly focusing on disrupting key infrastructure, including state media facilities.

In response, Iran launched hundreds of missiles at Israeli targets on Sunday, signaling a significant escalation in its retaliation campaign and setting the stage for a potentially broader conflict.

Both sides have remained on high alert amid concerns over the widening scope of hostilities and the growing risk of direct confrontation in the region.
