Sadr Urges Iraqis to Protest Israeli, US “Violations” Following Friday Prayers
"The demonstration is meant to condemn the violation of Iraqi airspace that harms our people and sacred places," Sadr said.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Wednesday, Shiite politician Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement, posted a message on his X account stating, "A peaceful demonstration against Israel should be held in Iraq immediately after next Friday prayers."
He explained that the demonstration aims to condemn the violations committed by Israel and the United States in their hostility toward nations and religions, as well as the genocide against Arab and Islamic countries, including attacks on neighboring Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen.
"The demonstration is meant to condemn the violation of Iraqi airspace that harms our people and sacred places," Sadr said.
On June 13, more than 200 warplanes targeted military and nuclear sites across Tehran and other Iranian cities. Iranian media sources said the attacks killed several high-ranking military commanders and atomic scientists, with Israel allegedly focusing on disrupting key infrastructure, including state media facilities.
In response, Iran launched hundreds of missiles at Israeli targets on Sunday, signaling a significant escalation in its retaliation campaign and setting the stage for a potentially broader conflict.
