ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — A drone was shot down on Wednesday near the village of Sherawa in Erbil province, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Directorate General of Counter Terrorism (CTD) announced in a statement.
“Fortunately, the drone was shot down and no casualties were reported,” the statement said, underscoring the swift response of local security forces.
This incident follows the interception of two other drones by Coalition forces over Erbil province on Tuesday, marking a continued effort to safeguard the region’s airspace from potential threats.
The CTD did not disclose the origin of the drones.
