ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Early Friday morning, Iran launched another round of ballistic missiles targeting Israel, marking a continuation of the ongoing military escalation between the two countries.

According to Israeli military sources, one of the missiles fell in southern Israel, prompting authorities to call on civilians to evacuate public areas. Another missile reportedly struck near a Microsoft facility in the city of Beersheba.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that it had identified the launches from Iranian territory and that the country’s missile defense systems were actively engaged in intercepting the incoming threats. and according to Israeli state media, until now at least 18 civilians were injured.

This latest Iranian assault follows a significant Israeli operation launched one week earlier, on Jun. 13, 2025. On that day, Israeli fighter jets and drones conducted coordinated strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and ballistic missile production sites. The operation also resulted in the deaths of several senior Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists.

In response, Iran retaliated by firing hundreds of ballistic missiles during the night of the same day, striking Tel Aviv, Haifa, and several residential buildings, which led to widespread panic and damage.

The ongoing tit-for-tat attacks signal an intensifying confrontation between Iran and Israel, with military and civilian targets increasingly in the crosshairs.
