Netanyahu Praises IDF Intelligence for ‘Winning Wars,’ Vows to Destroy Iran’s Nuclear Program
Netanyahu visits IDF intel hub, hails 'war-winning' intelligence in Iran conflict. Vows to destroy Tehran's nuke program, credits Trump's support amid escalating strikes.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday visited an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intelligence base, lauding the unit’s strategic role in the country’s ongoing war with Iran and asserting that the intelligence gathered is essential to achieving “total victory.”
“I am here at an IDF Intelligence base with the Head of IDF Intelligence, and with our amazing people — the soldiers, both conscripts and reservists — who are doing sacred work in providing us with the intelligence that wins wars,” Netanyahu said during the visit, according to a post on his official X account.
The prime minister was accompanied by Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, head of the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate; Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer; National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi; and his Military Secretary, Maj. Gen. Roman Gofman.
“I cannot exaggerate the importance of the work that has been done, and which is being done at the moment, in achieving the total victory,” Netanyahu told the intelligence team.
“We Avoid Targeting Civilians”
Later on Friday, while inspecting the damage caused by Iranian missile attacks, Netanyahu asserted that “Iran is targeting civilians, while we avoid doing so.” He added, “We only target nuclear and military facilities.”
Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s long-standing position regarding Tehran’s nuclear ambitions: “We will not allow the Iranian regime to acquire nuclear weapons. Our goal is to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, and we have the capabilities to do so.”
Missile Threat and Praise for Trump
The Israeli leader claimed that Iran possesses “28,000 missiles and is working to develop nuclear bombs.” He also expressed appreciation for U.S. President Donald Trump, calling him “a great leader” and thanking him for continued support.
“President Trump makes his own decisions, and we thank him for assisting us,” Netanyahu concluded.
The comments and visits come amid a period of escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran, with both nations intensifying military operations and mounting fears of a broader regional conflict.
