ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Iran’s drone and missile campaign against Israel continued over the weekend with multiple reported strikes, including a drone that struck a residential building, as confirmed by the Times of Israel.

According to the Times of Israel, on the morning of Saturday, June 21, 2025, Iran launched more than 12 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting various locations across Israel. Most of the drones were intercepted by the Israeli air defense systems; however, one drone successfully evaded interception and hit a residential building in the city of Beit She’an, located east of Jerusalem. No casualties were reported in the incident.

The drone attack came just one day after Iran launched more than 25 missiles at Israeli territory on Friday, June 20. Several of those missiles struck populated areas across the country, injuring at least 30 individuals, according to Israeli reports.

Israel’s emergency services report that, since the beginning of the conflict, Iranian missile and drone attacks have resulted in at least 25 deaths and nearly 800 injuries. Israeli officials have accused Iran of deliberately targeting residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure.

Brigadier General Effie Defrin, spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), stated that since hostilities began, Iran has launched more than 450 ballistic missiles and hundreds of UAVs, with key targets including the capital Tel Aviv and other major cities.

The war erupted in the early hours of Friday, June 13, 2025, when Israel deployed more than 200 fighter jets to carry out extensive aerial strikes against military installations and nuclear facilities in Tehran and other strategic sites across Iran. The initial assault reportedly resulted in the deaths of several top Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists.

In retaliation, Iran has mounted a sustained campaign of missile and drone strikes against Israeli territory, prompting continuous counterattacks from the Israeli military. Both sides have escalated their rhetoric and operations as the regional confrontation intensifies.
