Iran’s IRGC: U.S. Has Entered Frontlines of Aggression

Iran’s IRGC vowed continued retaliation after U.S. B-2 bombers struck nuclear sites, calling the attacks a violation of sovereignty. Claiming to have tracked U.S. launch points, it warned of “regret-inducing” responses and declared its nuclear program remains undeterred.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Through what it described as “comprehensive intelligence oversight,” Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it has identified and is closely monitoring the takeoff locations of aircraft involved in the U.S. strike campaign against Iran. The statement, published by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on Sunday, condemned what it called the “criminal U.S. regime” and warned of severe and continued retaliation.

The warning comes as Reuters reported the United States had moved B-2 stealth bombers to Guam ahead of the strike, with two U.S. officials confirming the relocation on Saturday.

Although initially unclear whether the deployment was directly related to Middle East tensions, the B-2's capability to carry the 30,000-pound GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator — designed to destroy fortified underground targets like Iran's Fordow facility — raised alarms.

Experts also noted the possibility that the bombers could be moved further to Diego Garcia, a U.S.-British military base strategically positioned to operate in the Middle East.

"The criminal U.S. regime, in full coordination with the Zionist regime, committed a blatant and unprecedented crime early this morning by launching a military and illegal attack against the peaceful nuclear centers of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This act is a clear violation of the UN Charter, international law, the NPT treaty, and the fundamental principles of respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity," the IRGC declared at the outset of its communique.

The IRGC accused the U.S. of full operational involvement in the strikes and warned of its strategic miscalculations:

"From the very first moments of the Zionists’ operation, it was evident to the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran that the Americans had provided comprehensive support and full cooperation in the planning and execution of this aggression. This operation, once again, proved the impotence of the aggressor front in altering the realities on the ground. They possess neither the initiative nor the ability to escape from heavy retaliation."

In the statement, the IRGC lambasted the U.S. for what it described as a historical pattern of failed strategies in the region:

"The repetition of past failed follies by the United States reflects a strategic incapacity and neglect of the realities of the region. Instead of learning from repeated failures, Washington has now placed itself on the front lines of aggression by directly attacking peaceful facilities."

It warned that the very breadth of U.S. military infrastructure in the region was a weakness, not a strength:

"As we have repeatedly stated, the number, dispersion, and scope of U.S. military bases in the region are not a source of strength, but rather have multiplied their vulnerability."

Despite the attack, the IRGC maintained that Iran's nuclear program remains resilient:

"We firmly reiterate that the indigenous and peaceful nuclear technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not be destroyed by any attack. On the contrary, this assault will only strengthen the determination of Iran’s young and committed scientists to pursue progress and development."

The statement continued with a promise of sustained retaliation:

"In response to these aggressions and crimes, Operation True Promise 3 — of which the Zionists have already experienced 20 waves — will continue with precision, intensity, and clear targeting of the infrastructure, strategic centers, and interests of the Zionist regime."

The IRGC further warned the United States of broader consequences:

"Moreover, today’s aggression by the terrorist U.S. regime has compelled the Islamic Republic of Iran, within the framework of its legitimate right to self-defense, to resort to options that go beyond the delusional calculations of the aggressor front. The invaders of this land must await regret-inducing responses."

The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of loyalty to Iran's Supreme Leader and a broader ideological mission:

"Relying on the power of Almighty God, under the guidance and command of the Supreme Leader, supported by the great Iranian nation, and backed by the Islamic Resistance Front as well as the world’s seekers of truth and freedom, we stand firm in the defense of Iran’s dignity and security — and, by divine favor, we shall witness historic victories for Iran, the Iranian people, and the entire Islamic Ummah."

The IRGC’s declaration comes amid a rapidly escalating confrontation that began with Israel’s initial airstrikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities on June 13. The United States entered the fray with its own strike campaign targeting Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. The conflict has entered an unpredictable and dangerous phase, with both sides vowing further escalation.
