ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan24’s correspondent in Baghdad, Dilan Barzan, reported that an attack was carried out in early hours of Tuesday on the Victory Base, which hosts coalition forces near Baghdad International Airport.

Barzan also noted that shortly before the attack on Victory Base, the radar system of the Taji military base in Baghdad was targeted. It remains unclear who was responsible for this assault.

According to Barzan, the Taji base was struck by two unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) aiming to damage the radar system. At the time of the explosion, several Iraqi soldiers were present inside the base.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Walid Al-Tamimi, Commander of Baghdad Operations, confirmed that an unidentified unmanned aircraft targeted one of the outposts of Taji military base located in northern Baghdad. He added that no human casualties were reported from this incident.
