ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Basra has been experiencing water shortages for several days, compounded by rising temperatures. Residents are protesting against the lack of water.

Several neighborhoods in Basra are facing these water shortages, prompting Basra residents to demonstrate against local government officials. They are urging the swift provision and delivery of clean water.

Both residents inside and outside of the city are struggling with pollution in clean water and the water supply networks. Recently, a significant number of animals have died due to a lack of water, leading cattle breeders to protest.

Basra residents claim that the city's authorities are not addressing their demands, and their negligence has resulted in substantial health and financial losses.
