Türkiye’s Ambassador Thanks President Barzani for Longstanding Key Role in the Country’s Peace Process

According to a statement from Barzani's headquarters, the two sides exchanged views on the current political situation in the region, relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Federal Government of Iraq, and broader geopolitical developments.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — President Masoud Barzani on Thursday received Türkiye’s Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, in Pirmam, Erbil, Kurdistan Region, to discuss regional developments, bilateral ties, and the peace process in Türkiye.

The meeting was also attended by Erman Topçu, the Turkish Consul General in Erbil.

According to a statement from Barzani's headquarters, the two sides exchanged views on the current political situation in the region, relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Federal Government of Iraq, and broader geopolitical developments.

A key topic of discussion was the peace process in Türkiye. Ambassador Inan thanked President Barzani’s longstanding and constructive role in supporting peace efforts in Türkiye over the years.

The meeting also addressed bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Türkiye, with both sides highlighting the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation.
