KRG PM Barzani and Turkish Ambassador Emphasized Ending Terrorist Attacks Targeting Kurdistan
KRG's Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met Türkiye's envoy, discussed oil exports, KRG-Baghdad ties, and constitutional rights. Both condemned attacks on energy infrastructure. Türkiye praised KRG reforms and electricity projects.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Türkiye’s Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, in Erbil on Thursday, during an official meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties and resolving key regional issues.
The meeting was also attended by Erman Topçu, Türkiye’s Consul General in the Kurdistan Region. The two sides discussed the development of bilateral relations, the overall situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and the urgent need to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region through Türkiye.
The dialogue also included discussions on resolving issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government in Baghdad, respecting the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region, and ensuring fair financial entitlements for the people of Kurdistan.
Condemnation of Terrorist Attacks on Energy Infrastructure
Both sides emphasized, the importance of ending terrorist attacks targeting the economic and energy infrastructure of the Kurdistan Region, which have escalated in recent days.
Prime Minister Barzani also expressed gratitude for Türkiye’s facilitation and support to the قesidents of the Kurdistan Region during recent periods of conflict and instability in the area.

Ambassador Inan commended the KRG for its reforms, particularly in the energy sector, and highlighted the government's success in delivering 24-hour electricity through the "Runaki project”. The importance of intensifying efforts to Succeed the peace process in Turkey, was a significant part of the conversation .
