KRG Meets All Its Obligations, Says Iraqi PM Advisor
Allawi noted that the Iraqi Ministry of Finance did not send funds today due to some technical issues; however, there is a positive political agreement between Erbil and Baghdad.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Hussein Allawi, advisor for Security Sector Reform in the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office, told Kurdistan24 on Tuesday that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has fulfilled its obligations by sending non-oil revenues, ensuring that public employees' salaries in the Kurdistan Region will be paid.
Allawi noted that the Iraqi Ministry of Finance did not send funds today due to some technical issues; however, there is a positive political agreement between Erbil and Baghdad.
“There should be no differences among employees; all Iraqi employees should be treated equally,” he stated.
He also emphasized the need for a long-term solution to the delayed payment of public employees in the Kurdistan Region. "The Iraqi government has amended the budget law as a gesture of goodwill. Both Erbil and Baghdad are committed to resolving these issues, and long-term commitments are essential."
