Yezidi Girl Reham Rescued from al-Hol Camp After 11 Years in ISIS Captivity

According to Mahir Elias, a Kurdistan24 reporter in Duhok, Reham was found and rescued by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the al-Hol camp located in al-Hasakah province.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Another Yezidi girl named Reham, who was kidnapped by ISIS fighters after the occupation of the Sinjar district and Nineveh province, has been rescued after 11 years.

According to Mahir Elias, a Kurdistan24 reporter in Duhok, Reham was found and rescued by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the al-Hol camp located in al-Hasakah province.

Reham was only nine years old when ISIS fighters abducted her. Her sister and five brothers, along with 30 other close relatives, are still missing.

Reham's parents, who reside in the Esiyan camp in the Shekhan district of Duhok province, have traveled to Northeastern Syria (Rojava) to bring their daughter back to the Kurdistan Region.

According to Kurdistan24, Reham was kidnapped in 2014 during the ISIS attack on Khanasur town, along with 77 members of her family and relatives. Eleven years later, more than 30 of them remain missing.
