KRG Head of Foreign Relations Discusses Drone Attacks and Energy Deals with US Officials

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Safeen Dizayee, head of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Department of Foreign Relations, told Kurdistan24 on Friday, “We discussed the relations between Erbil and Baghdad as well as the drone attacks on Erbil with officials from various US departments.”

He added, “With US officials, we followed up on the energy agreement two months ago. We also discussed and evaluated the latest developments in the region with various ministries and Congress.”

Dizayee noted that Erbil-Baghdad relations, budget issues, salaries, and drone attacks on oil fields in the Kurdistan Region were also topics of discussion.

Meanwhile, at a panel in Washington on Thursday, Dizayee stated that drone attacks have affected oil production. He emphasized that they have asked Baghdad to form a committee to address the attacks, which have damaged four oil fields.
