EXCLUSIVE: Peshmerga detonate two IS suicide bombers, northeastern Mosul

Peshmerga forces on Thursday detonated two Islamic State (IS) vehicle-borne improvised explosive vehicles (VBIED) in the north and northeast of Mosul.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – Peshmerga forces on Thursday detonated two Islamic State (IS) vehicle-borne improvised explosive vehicles (VBIED) in the north and northeast of Mosul.

In an exclusive footage filmed by Kurdistan24 in northeastern Mosul, Kurdish forces blow up an IS VBIED headed toward them at high speed.

The footage shows Peshmerga targeting the vehicle several times. In the end, the vehicle is detonated before reaching the Kurdish forces.

Peshmerga soldiers are seen applauding after repelling the attack.

 

Additionally, Peshmerga detonated another VBIED that was following a Kurdish forces’ military vehicle near the same area.
