VIDEO: Liberated Mosul locals are starving

The people of Mosul suffer the lack of food, water, and healthcare services as the military operation continues to drive the Islamic State (IS) out of the city.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) - The people of Mosul faced lack of food, water, and health services as the military operation continues to drive the Islamic State (IS) out of the city.

Iraqi and Kurdish Peshmerga forces launched Mosul offensive on October 17 and have liberated many towns and neighborhoods from the extremist group.

In a video report, Kurdistan24 Correspondent Hemin Dalo show civilians inside the liberated neighborhoods desperately coming out from the house in aim to see some humanitarian aid trucks in the area.

Whenever the aid vehicles arrive, often violence takes place between the people as they try to get some food and other basic items.

It leads to the security forces to fire bullets to disperse people.

According to civilians, the life condition in those neighborhoods is very challenging as there is no food, clean water, and health services.

Some of the people expect a big humanitarian catastrophe to take place, claiming people would starve if it moves on.
