World leaders on Sunday gathered in Paris to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – World leaders on Sunday gathered in Paris to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.

Leaders from more than 70 countries attended the ceremony, including US and Russian Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, to mark the centenary of the 1918 Armistice in the French capital.

Memorial events were held in other countries across the globe in remembrance of the 40 million people who were killed and wounded during the Great War.
