President Barzani: The People of Kurdistan Stand with France

ERBIL (K24) - President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani condemned the Friday night attacks in Paris.

Barzani sent his condolences to his French counterpart François Hollande on behalf of the people of Kurdistan to the people of France.

In a statement published on Saturday on the presidency website, Barzani said that "the people of Kurdistan stand with the French people in solidarity."

"As victims of terrorism themselves, they [Kurds] send their heartfelt condolences to the French people," President Barzani said.
Calling terrorists a common enemy, Barzani added that "vicious terrorists are against every human value. They attack life, progress and peace wherever they are."

Kurdish President further said in the statement that Kurdistan, which is at "a fierce war with terrorists," has made many sacrifices and sides with the French government and people.
