England to recognize Kurdistan Region vaccine pass on Jan. 10

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – England will recognize the vaccine certificates issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) from Jan. 10, the British government has announced.

“From 4 am on Monday 10 January, KRI (Kurdistan Region of Iraq) COVID-19 vaccine certificates will be accepted for entry to England,” the British government website says.

Travelers from Iraq and the Kurdistan Region will be required to present their vaccine certificate upon their arrival in England, according to the latest British government guideline.

Three of the vaccine brands – Pfizer BioNTech, AstraZeneca, and Sinopharm – that are approved by the British government are available in the Kurdistan Region.

So far, over 381,000 coronavirus cases have been recorded since the pandemic outbreak in early 2020. More than 7,100 have died due to the disease.
