ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Thursday that a Turkish drone strike targeted a checkpoint in Manbij.

The Turkish drone targeted a checkpoint of the Manbij Military Council in Al-Tukhar village.

However, no casualties have been reported.

According to the Rojava Information Centre (RIC), Turkey's recent airstrikes in the last few days have killed a total of 10 people and injured 31.

Turkey has stepped up drone strikes in Syria and the Kurdistan Region, after 12 Turkish soldiers were killed last week in clashes with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi on Dec. 25 called on "Turkey to focus on its internal issues and address them within its borders."
