KRG Council of Ministers addresses civil servant salaries

The Prime Minister instructed the relevant ministries to protect roads and public places against any trespasses that harm the public interest of citizens.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Chaired by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers convened in a meeting in Erbil on Wednesday, according to a KRG statement.

The council first discussed the results of the visit to Baghdad by Finance Minister Awat Sheik Janab and Cabinet Secretary Amanj Raheem, where the delegation discussed with their Iraqi counterparts issues relating to salaries and oil production and export. The Kurdish delegation also presented projects and proposals to the federal government.

Regarding missing civil servant salaries, the council emphasized its position that the federal government must fulfill its responsibility to send the salaries of KRG civil servants.

Later, the Prime Minister instructed the relevant ministries to protect roads and public places against any trespasses that harm the public interest of citizens.
