ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Hama Hashim's Rega Exhibition in Poland marks the artist's latest activity.

The exhibition will be held in Krosno town in which Polish dancer Joanna Sarnecka and Kurdish singer Chrika Hawrami will perform together.

Hashim told Kurdistan24 that the artworks, in general, depict the harsh realities faced by refugees and those who were forced to flee war and destruction.

“These artworks shed light on the tragic consequences of war on innocent people, as well as the plight of those who are displaced and forced to leave their homeland,” he said and added, “The paintings are painted with acrylic material on canvas and the installation utilizes a variety of materials.”

Hashim was born in 1973 in Koya, Erbil. He graduated from the Department of Painting at the Erbil Institute of Fine Arts, and he is currently working there as a teacher.
