KRG President demands compensation for Halabja victims on 36th anniversary

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Nechirvan Barzani has issued a poignant message on the solemn occasion of the 36th anniversary of the chemical attack on Halabja, advocating for comprehensive compensation for victims of the former regime's atrocities in the Kurdistan Region.

"The Iraqi government must fulfill all its duties and responsibilities and provide justice to the victims," he asserted, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging and redressing the suffering inflicted upon innocent civilians.
