Body of drowned man in Duhok flash flood found

Another citizen who was swept away by flash floods last week is still being searched for in the center of Duhok and at the Mosul Dam.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Bewar Abdulaziz, spokesperson for Duhok's civil defense, told Kurdistan24 on Thursday that they were able to recover the body of one of the citizens who drowned in last week's flash flood with the assistance of 600 residents of Duhok.

The body was found near the Mosul Dam.

Another citizen who was swept away by flash floods last week is still being searched for in the center of Duhok and at the Mosul Dam.

On March 19, Duhok province bore the brunt of the downpour, leading to flooding in multiple neighborhoods, submerging homes, and blocking several roads.

Moreover, Salah Hassan, deputy director of the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) office in Duhok province, told Kurdistan24 that 200 BCF employees helped flash flood victims in Duhok.
