PM Masrour Barzani resolves salary dispute, upholds constitutional rights amid challenges

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) -  Despite numerous obstacles, the Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister has consistently emphasized that he will not forsake the legitimate and constitutional rights of the Kurdish nation, promising to work tirelessly to ensure these rights are upheld.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's steadfast stance on the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region and the resilience of its citizens are key to the region's achievements and victories.

After encountering numerous difficult hurdles and unfounded excuses for withholding the rightful salaries of employees and citizens of the Kurdistan Region, the resistance has finally prevailed.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani announced that a solution has been reached to address the issue of salary payments for employees and civil servants in the region.

The Prime Minister has repeatedly stressed the importance of not yielding or compromising on the legitimate and constitutional rights of the Kurdistan.

On May 16, during the commemoration of the chemical attack on Halabja, the Prime Minister stated, "The mentality behind the campaigns to erase and exterminate the Kurdish nation, still exists and we must all stand against it, we must all staunchly forbid those who seek to toy with the victims of our nation."

On March 20, in his Newroz congratulatory message, the Prime Minister reiterated his respect and appreciation for the resilient citizens of the Kurdistan Region. He lamented that the Kurdish people have been manipulated in political games but expressed confidence that their will for a free and dignified life will ultimately prevail.

Additionally, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the people for their resilience, pledging to defend the rights and accomplishments of the Kurdish people and their identity, and to confront oppression, injustice, and corruption.

On the 26th of the same month, he reaffirmed their commitment not to relinquish any constitutional rights of the Kurdish people and not to seek anyone's gratitude.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced the resolution of the salary issue between the federal government and the KRG. He thanked the employees and workers of Kurdistan for their resilience in the face of previous attempts to disappoint them.
