Oslo seminar bolsters Kurdistan diaspora relation

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - Shifa Barzani, General Supervisor of the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation, chaired a seminar in Oslo on Thursday, April 4, attended by several parliamentarians and politicians from Norway and other parts of Kurdistan. The seminar aimed to engage with the Kurdish Diaspora in Europe and its political representatives.

The General Supervisor of the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation stated that they are focused on strengthening relations within the Kurdish Diaspora abroad. He also mentioned that their activities will continue in Europe and the United States.

Barzani informed Kurdistan24 that they hosted a dinner for Kurdish supporters in Norway, comprising politicians, intellectuals, and journalists who have aided the Kurds and Kurdistan Region when needed.

He highlighted the positive developments in the Kurdistan Region under President Barzani's leadership, emphasizing their efforts to engage with the region's people and provide various services.

Mr. Barzani announced plans to organize similar seminars and dinners in the United States and other countries, expressing gratitude to the Kurdistan Region for bolstering lobbying efforts.

Rodi Ilgen, a Kurdish political figure in Norway, noted the significant progress of such meetings and seminars over the past decade. He emphasized their role in presenting the Kurdish issue and proposing solutions to its problems to participants.

Ilgen underscored the influential role of politicians, intellectuals, and experts participating in these gatherings, suggesting their impact on enhancing relations between European countries and the Kurdistan Region would be substantial.
