16th International Book Fair in Erbil promises literary extravaganza

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Erbil International Book Fair is scheduled to open from April 17 to 27, 2024 in Erbil International Fairground Sami Abdul-Rahman Park. the event is organized by AlMada group for Media, Culture and Arts.

Star Mohsin, the proprietor of a publishing and broadcasting agency, revealed to Kurdistan24 on Tuesday, the meticulous preparations undertaken for the event. "We have been gearing up for this exhibition for three months," Mohsin stated, underscoring the company's commitment to providing a memorable experience for readers.

The 16th Erbil International Book Fair, slated to open on April 17 under the auspices of KDP President Masoud Barzani, promises to be a literary extravaganza. With the participation of 300 publishing houses and broadcasting centers from 22 countries, visitors can expect to browse through a staggering 1.5 million titles across various genres.

Farhad Sabir, the fair's supervisor, highlighted the significance of this year's event, emphasizing the emphasis on setting new benchmarks in book sales. "There is a 50 percent discount on books because we have decided to set a new record for book sales this year," Sabir remarked, hinting at the abundance of attractive offers awaiting attendees.

Discounts of up to 50 percent on books and transportation fares at half-price for fairgoers underscore the organizers' commitment to fostering a vibrant literary atmosphere and encouraging widespread participation.
