Kurdistan Region President, Iraqi National Security Advisor discuss terrorism threat

The Kurdistan Region President thanked and recognized the National Security Advisor and his team for their effort to maintain security and stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani on Sunday met with Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji in which both sides discussed the threat of terrorism, and the challenges facing Iraq as a result of regional conflicts, according to a statement from the Kurdistan Region Presidency.

“Both parties stressed the importance of collaboration and coordination between the Iraqi Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to tackle security issues. They both recognized the need for all parties to work together in order to maintain peace and stability in the country,” the statement read.

The Kurdistan Region President thanked and recognized the National Security Advisor and his team for their effort to maintain security and stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

The National Security Advisor stressed the interconnectedness of peace, security, and stability in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as a whole. Also, Kurdistan Region President Barzani was commended by him for his leadership in fostering unity and addressing challenges in the country.

Kurdistan Region President on Saturday arrived in Baghdad and met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, in which they highlighted the latest political developments in Iraq.
