KDP President Barzani meets with Kuwait's Ambassador to Iraq

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – KDP President Massoud Barzani welcomed Kuwait's Ambassador to Iraq, Tariq Abdullah al-Faraj, in Salahaddin on Monday, marking a significant step in fostering bilateral ties between the Kurdistan Region and Kuwait.

During the meeting, attended by Mr. Othman Dawoud, Consul General of Kuwait in Erbil, Ambassador al-Faraj conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Kuwait to President Barzani, acknowledging Barzani's pivotal role in promoting stability and fostering development in the region.

President Barzani, in turn, emphasized the historical significance of the relationship between the Kurdish people and the people of Kuwait, highlighting the deep-rooted and friendly ties that exist between the two nations and their leadership.

In addition to discussing bilateral relations, President Barzani and Ambassador al-Faraj exchanged views on the Iraqi political process, reflecting on the shared challenges and opportunities facing both nations.
