KRG Minister, Yezidi Mir discuss coexistence, unity in Kurdistan Region

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Pshtiwan Sadiq, met with Mir Hazim Tahsin Beg, the Prince of the Yezidis, and the Supreme Spiritual Council of Yezidis.

The meeting was scheduled to discuss coexistence and various general issues, emphasizing the importance of peace and unity among the communities of the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, both sides underscored the significance of religious coexistence in the Kurdistan Region.

The discussions also focused on improving services for the Yezidi community and fostering a spirit of unity and peace among all religious communities in Kurdistan.

The meeting addressed the general situation in the region, as well as recent events and developments in Kurdistan, Iraq, and the broader region.

Minister Sadiq highlighted that, based on the recommendation of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the General Directorate of Yezidi Affairs has been tasked with preparing necessary plans and projects to support the religious affairs of the Yezidis.

This initiative aims to further enhance the support and services provided to the Yezidi community, promoting harmony and solidarity within the diverse religious landscape of the Kurdistan Region.
