Kurdish play wins in Jordan festival

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdish play Salma won in the International Theater Festival in Jordan, the Play Director Najad Najm confirmed to Kurdistan 24 broadcasting, they participated in several international festivals and won two awards in this festival.

“The monodrama Salma has been played in 12 countries around the world, previously, participated in the Carthage International Festival in Tunisia, and won the best award by the judges. I congratulate my team,” Najad Najm stated.

The play has won two awards: one is for the best performance and other is for the best actress.

Salma is a play produced by Hawara Theater Group from Kirkuk, sketched by Dilshad Mustafa and directed by Najad Najim. It is a work between Kurdistan and France, its themes are Halabja cataclysm, Anfal (Kurdish massacre), Genocide and mass flee, this play is in Kurdish and French languages.
