Erbil police confiscate unregistered motorcycles

The Erbil Police Directorate has emphasized that motorcycles without registration, which disrupt street order and annoy people, will be seized.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Erbil police on Monday apprehended motorcycles that were causing disturbances in various neighborhoods of Erbil.

The Erbil Police Directorate received reports from residents of Empire and Dream City regarding several motorcycles causing disruptions to the traffic system and annoyance to people. In response, emergency police teams were dispatched to the scene by the Erbil Police Directorate. The motorcycles were subsequently seized.

The Erbil Police Directorate has emphasized that motorcycles without registration, which disrupt street order and annoy people, will be seized.

Unregistered motorcycles in the Kurdistan Region are a major cause of traffic accidents. These unregistered motorcycles are not tracked, making it difficult to monitor their speed or condition. As a result, they often lack proper safety equipment, such as helmets.
