ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Manager of the Silos and Wheat Warehouses in Sulaimani, Nasrin Ahmad revealed to Kurdistan 24 on Tuesday that by June 15, also days before and until Saturday, 45 thousand tons wheat have been stored in Sulaimani silos.

She stated “It will be obvious by the next week how much of the farmers’ financial shares will come through to the Sulaimani Silos Management’s account. It is expected to be 3 billion Iraqi dinars”

She added “Another 20 billion Iraqi dinars will be paid to the account, to be given to the farmers whom their wheat has been bought”

The manager explained the cheques are getting ready on daily basis for the farmers.

The 6 silos in Sulaimani city reopened as well as all the staff members have gone back to work, and that is to take on more wheat from the farmers. According to Ahmad’s talk to Kurdistan 24, it is for the farmers’ interest to mitigate any extra costs such as from rents, expenditures and the long wait in front of the grain warehouses.
