PM Masrour Barzani meets Dutch Ambassador Hans Sandee

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Today, Monday, June 24, 2024, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Iraq, Hans Sandee, on the occasion of the end of his duties.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani appreciated Ambassador Hans Sandee's efforts in strengthening bilateral relations and expressed gratitude to the Netherlands for its continued support in the fight against ISIS terrorists.

He also thanked the Netherlands for its ongoing support for the regional government's reforms, particularly in the field of economic diversification, especially in the agricultural sector.

The Prime Minister wished Ambassador Sandee good luck and success in his future diplomatic career.

Ambassador Sandee emphasized the strength of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Netherlands, noting that the volume of trade exchange between the two sides has doubled.

He expressed his country's commitment to continue strengthening cooperation with the regional government.

In another context of the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in Iraq and the region, underscoring the importance of holding Kurdistan Parliament elections at an appropriate time this year.
