ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Labour party, led by Kier Starmer, won the general election 2024. Last night was an incredible and historic one to British people and all the political parties as well. After very challenging, probably was one of the rare election campaigns that happened in last 70 decades.

The results for the general election 2024 were, Conservatives -246, Lab +209, the other political parties were Lib Dem +62, SNP -38, SF -, OTH +13.

The Tory party lost the election to Lab, Labour won by a landslide. Winning this election is the second largest in the last 2 decades by gaining the largest number of Parliament seats. It was a unique victory for the Labour who won 409 seats, Tory 116, Lib Dem 70, SNP 8, Green 4, Reform 4 seats.

Next few days the UK Parliament will operate; House of Commons hold the majority seats and the PM-post will be offered by His Majesty King Charles III to Sir Kier Starmer (as the Monarchy’s tradition in Great Britain), as well as he will be asked to form the government.
