ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – However, the Personal Status Law, and many more articles and regulations in Iraq do not apply in Kurdistan Region.

Kurdistan Regional Government has its own Parliament for legislations, regulations and issuing or proposing bills.

The Iraqi parliament began its session on Monday, with 180 members present. One of the most important hubs in the Federal Parliament disputed was the personal status law.

In spite of a world-wide reaction noticed regarding the bill proposed to the Iraqi Federal Parliament to amend the personal status law.

Likewise, too many Iraqi women reacted frightfully also participated in protests and rallies outside parliament and campaigned against the proposed bill as well as opposing the amendments.

All the negative outcomes and consequences are expected from accepting the amendments, nevertheless risking the society structure which the rapturing already on the rise.

The worse consequences of them all, those criminals who would take advantage of that law that wouldn’t need any effort from them to gain what they are behind.

The Iraqi parliament announced their reschedule for Tuesday debate, that includes the first reading for three bills, as well as a second reading for the proposed bill and voting regarding the amendment to a law about establishment of the martyrs.

According to the schedule, the Iraqi parliament will vote on the first amendment regarding the establishment of Martyrs law No. 2 of 2016.

The second reading will also be held on the pension bills of Hashd al-Shaabi members as well as the law on Iraq's approval of the multi-tax agreement.
