ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The largest livestock and dairy project in the Kurdistan Region, currently under construction in Duhok province, is nearing completion and is expected to open within the next two months, according to Haval Sadiq, the Director General of Investment in Duhok.

This $40 million project spans an area of 1,000 acres and is poised to create 2,500 job opportunities for local residents. Sadiq highlighted the economic impact of the initiative, which aims to boost local production and reduce the region's reliance on imported dairy products.

"The project will include both dairy production facilities and an animal waste treatment plant," Sadiq explained. Once operational, the project is expected to meet a significant portion of the domestic demand for dairy products, providing locally produced goods that will replace foreign imports.

This large-scale investment is seen as a key driver for job creation and economic growth in the region, offering both employment opportunities and enhancing Kurdistan's agricultural sector.
