'US and KRG share values and security interests'

WASHINGTON, United States (Kurdistan24) – In a recent interview with Kurdistan24, David L. Phillips, Director of the Program on Peace-building and Rights at Columbia University’s Institute for the Study of Human Rights, stated that the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the US is "critical" since both share values and security interests.

He mentioned that the current US $415 financial assistance by the State Department to Peshmerga is an important declaration of solidarity between both sides.
