ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan24) – A brave Kurdistan24 team explores the aftermath of the east Mosul military operation where Peshmerga discovers several Islamic State (IS) underground tunnels.

In the documentary, the Kurdistan24 team led by Ragaz Rasheed visits the retaken villages and shows the aftermath of war while interviewing some Peshmerga officers on the front lines.

The team shows several IS tunnels discovered by Peshmerga.

The passageways differ from each other in terms of depth and length. In one of the tunnels, Peshmerga finds some IS extremists still alive.

The documentary had been filmed a few months ago right after Peshmerga liberated the area on Aug. 14 from the jihadist group.

The Kurdistan24 production team, reporters, and cameramen largely contributed to this documentary.
