WASHINGTON DC, United States (Kurdistan24) – In a recent interview, an official in Washington, DC, said unlike Barack Obama, new US President Donald Trump lacks a clear agenda and never talks about equality and freedom.

Hilary Shelton, the Director of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Washington Bureau and the Senior Vice President for Advocacy and Policy spoke to Kurdistan24 about the new US administration.

He explained the new US President and former President had “two different agendas.”

“[Obama] had a very open agenda,” Shelton said. “Watching out for the American people and always trying to maintain integrity in criminal justice and other justice processes.”

He added Trump’s policies were in sharp contrast with those of Obama.

“We have not seen a clear indication of what exactly he plans to do to address the many problems of the American people,” Shelton concluded.

The Washington Bureau of NAACP is the Federal legislative and national public policy division of the over 500,000-member, 2,200-membership unit, national civil rights organization, according to its website.
